Facilitates the enrollment process in the various health coverage programs offered by the HIE department. Provides information in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner to the population being served by the HIE department. **JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES** **Education:** + Bachelors in Healthcare, Business and /or Behavioral Science or related Degree highly preferred. + 5-6 years Health insurance, Medicaid and Social Security Eligibility enrollment experience required. **Licensure:** + Must acquire Indiana and Michigan, Department of Insurance, Accident, Life & Health Insurance (ALH) License within 3 months of employment. + Valid Indiana driver license and proof of valid automobile insurance. **Experience:** + Minimum of 1-2years experience in Health Insurance Sales, Medicaid Eligibility, Children’s Health Insurance Program. + Knowledge of state and federal aid programs required. + Prior on the job training in medical clerical skills helpful. + Prior leadership or management skills preferred. **Other Job Requirements:** + Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
