As an Insurance Authorization Coordinator, you will coordinate the daily activities of the Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic front by coordinating office work flow. Processes and obtains all insurance authorizations for Outpatient Rehabilitation Services to ensure reimbursement for all services rendered. Manages all communication and inquiries from referral sources, clinicians, patients, insurance adjustors/case managers regarding insurance coverage, benefits, co-pays, and authorizations. The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate and be able to put the patients at ease using their excellent communication skills. .
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a health care setting
• Must possess interpersonal skills to interact with patients, patients families, and coworkers
• Ability to manage work processes in a neat and orderly way and to sort and alphabetize. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
• Ability to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively in writing.
• Must be a team player
Preferred
• Bilingual: English and Spanish
• Experience obtaining and verifying insurance authorization and insurance eligibility in a health care setting
• Medical Interpreter Certificate
