Insurance Claims Underwriter
Adecco is currently assisting a great client in their search for an **Insurance Claims Underwriter** in Austin, TX. **Must** be local to the area. **Type:** 40hrs/wk. Contract **Start Date:** Within two to three weeks. **Location:** Intersect of Kramer Lane and Boyer Boulevard in Austin, TX. Please make sure this commute works for you prior to applying. **Pay:** $ 25.70 to $ 25.70/hr **Length:** Long Term **Hours** : 8 AM - 4:30 PM; M-F Responsibilities for the **Insurance Claims Underwriter** role include: + Services as primary contact for insurance agency clients. + Will handle and process the placing of bond, crime, windstorm, flood, cyber and other coverages in the standard insurance marketplace. + Will interact with self-insured property and casualty claims. + E-mails and/or prints, assembles, and mails member policies + Will be tasked with workers’ compensation pool clients and handling those needs. + Reviews and completes applications for appropriate markets. + Process policy changes and reporting. + Provides premium quotes to clients. + Sends proposals. + Invoicing for policy and endorsement. + Maintains all working tasks within AMS 360. + Files Surplus Lines taxes and Stamping Office fees and maintains the appropriate files and logs for annual tax filings Qualifications for this **Insurance Claims Underwriter** role: + Completed High School Diploma or GED. + At least five years of direct insurance claims experience. + General P/C agent license required. Will consider those who are close to obtaining. + Must have excellent attendance. + Must have Microsoft 365 experience and be proficient in MS Word and Excel. + Must carry previous work history processing commercial insurance claims. + Highly organized and attentive to detail. + Proficient with contact management/underwriting/agency systems, preferred + Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and 10-key by touch + Ability to work independently and within a team environment + Alpha/numeric filing skills + Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. + Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form **Pay Details:** $25.70 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
