Study insurance plans used most frequently with patients to understand the various nuances to communicate more effectivelyDocument basic insurance information in the patient’s file for quick referenceProcess and submit insurance claims dailyMonitor and follow-up on outstanding claimsProvide the appointment coordinator with patient names and amounts due, so effective collection over the counter can take place during the dayIdentify patients in the daily schedule who are a financial concern, note payment problems on the patient’s chart, and arranges a conference with them either before or at the time of the appointmentRecord all financial discussions with patients in their filePrepare and process patients’ statements each month on a regular billing cycleMake collection callsSolidify the financial agreement with the patient, such as payment amount and scheduleFollow through with correspondence regarding collection when unable to contact the patient on the telephonePrepare and send uncollected accounts to collections with managers approval and follow through as neededMonitor patients whom collection agencies have contactedSend information as requested by insurance companies such as x-rays, charting, narratives, and other documentation for processing the claim when applicableProvide insurance predetermination documentation to patients, contacts the patient to make financial arrangements, and schedules treatmentCorrespond with insurance companies to resolve payment delays, requests for additional information, or to discuss denied treatment coverageHandle all inquiries concerning insurance dailyWilling to help in other areas as needed Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years experience and knowledge of dental insurances.Experience with Eaglesoft is a plusKnowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuationSkilled in the use of standard office equipment, including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Practice Management software) Benefits OfferedIn return for providing an excellent patient experience, we offer a great benefits package to include health and dental benefits, 401(k), holiday pay and paid time off.
