Insurance Follow-Up Specialist
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Insurance Follow-Up Specialist in DANVILLE, Kentucky. This role is in the insurance industry and entails meticulous organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in customer service. As a specialist, you will be tasked with managing customer applications, maintaining records, and handling customer inquiries within an office environment. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Maintain precise records of customer credit • Stay updated on billing requirements for all payers and apply necessary corrections to claims prior to billing • Regularly review patient registration information to ensure accuracy • Effectively follow-up on all outstanding balances due from insurance companies by working daily Accounts Receivable (AR) reports • Review all credit balances due back to insurance payers and process them appropriately • Regularly review all claim denials and remittance rejections for accuracy of charges and billing edits • Navigate designated payer websites to check eligibility and claim status, while keeping abreast of any changes • Address all Payer Rejections that come through the Clearinghouse from your designated payer in a timely manner • Ensure quality standards established by the department are met and maintained. Requirements • Proficiency in Insurance Follow-up processes and procedures • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively • Knowledge of insurance terms, codes, billing procedures, and regulations • Prior experience in a similar role in the insurance industry is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
