What the day will look like
Aon’s Captive and Insurance Management team in Dublin are seeking an Insurance Manager, reporting to the Director of Insurance services.
The Insurance Manager will work on Client Services:
+ Be ‘client-facing’ – Communicating with and demonstrating a technical ability to clients in the delivery of the services required for each client re/insurance company
+ Be responsible for the insurance and claims functions of a portfolio of captive insurance and reinsurance companies from a range of different industry sectors
+ Ensure that all clients’ insurance and claims activities are performed efficiently, effectively and accurately and that all deadlines are met
+ Manage team members and other departments and service providers to ensure all client deadlines and requests are met while maintaining a high-quality service
+ Be responsible for the proper liaison between the Insurance function and other functions (Actuarial, Finance, Compliance, etc) and third-party service providers (TPA Claims managers, auditors, actuaries etc)
+ Monitor Regulatory requirements and regulatory reporting
+ Attend and present at the captive insurance company Board Meetings
+ Support the Aon’s value proposition by working with other practice groups across Aon to introduce relevant solutions to support our client’s objectives
+ Participate in one or more internal functional sub-committees as part of the management team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
The ideal Insurance Manager will have the following skills:
+ Relevant 3rd level qualification and/or qualified Insurance professional with relevant post-qualified experience
+ Experience within a regulated insurance company/reinsurance company/captive insurance company or similar regulated financial services entity
+ Understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment which governs insurance and reinsurance companies
+ Understanding of the principles of risk finance
+ Effective communications and problem solving skills.
