Insurance & Membership Specialist
This position performs a variety of duties in support of growth, service goals and profitability for Field Sales within a branch as well as is a primary provider of Member Services. Performs duties in support of agents and other staff. Position is responsible for servicing the needs of the member, maintaining service quality levels and giving added value through MRM to cross sell and offer other services. Required to maintain acceptable levels of policy accuracy and achieve individual cross sell goals as assigned. Provides service support for existing insureds and members. Assists in the sale of insurance products and provides other insurance support services. Reviews and completes documentation for business written in an office. Provides information to members regarding memberships and insurance.
Job Duties
Provide professional customer service to members and existing insureds. Provide service and information to members regarding memberships and insurance. Maintain and update member information in POS (make necessary changes to members’ phone numbers and e-mail, address or any other updates as required). Identify cross-sell opportunities based on members’ product needs and service. Enhance member relationship by diversifying use of products and services, including automotive, financial products, and travel resale materials. Provide leads to insurance, life, travel and other departments as appropriate. Meet cross sell goals.Provide service to walk-in and telephone members seeking insurance services. Sell memberships and assist in the sale of insurance to prospective insureds. Assist members with changes to existing policies or memberships including upgrading to a membership with a higher value, renewals and provide information regarding billing. Verify insurance coverage for lien holders and leasing companies. Provide binders as requested.Provide maps, TourBooks and other travel related materials. Prepare TripTiks and International Driving Permits (IDPs). Fulfill requests for passport photos, travel routings and publications. May assist with car and hotel reservations.Order and maintain all insurance compliance reports and records.Resolve member and insured related problems. Refer issues which require more authority to appropriate level.Process payments for membership, bookstore, insurance and travel products. Upgrade basic memberships to memberships with higher value (AAA+ or Premier) as appropriate. Balance cash drawer.Notary Public – Process Notary transactions for members according to National Notary Association and Club procedures. Maintain knowledge and Notary commission.Complete new business policy accuracy reviews and submit to underwriting.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.Must accurately identify if proper documentation is provided by member to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed for proper notarization. Decisions are generally limited to how to best service the member. The position analyzes member requests and determines the best service recommendations/actions.
Qualifications
High School GED Required4-6 years Branch member sales, service & operations or related experience PreferredModerate knowledge of AAA products and services in the following areas: insurance, travel counseling, publications, maps and routing preferred.Moderate proficiency in data entry required. Moderate Microsoft Word and Excel skills preferred. Advanced customer service skills preferred.Moderate knowledge of Club systems, including but not limited to: POS, MACS, VIEWPOINT, EICS, TRAVEL PORTAL, KRONOS, HUON, LEXUS/NEXUS preferred.Property and Casualty Insurance License, valid in selling state - Issued by State Required
