The CFO Organization at Snap includes Accounting, Business Partner Finance, Business Planning & Operations, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Partnerships & Strategy, Tax, and Treasury teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

We’re looking for an Insurance Risk Manager to join our Risk Management & Insurance Team in Finance!  As a member of the Risk Management team within Finance, this role will be responsible for partnering closely with strategic and operational business leaders to mitigate and manage risk across activities/issues affecting our organization. This role requires the ability to successfully navigate across key stakeholders that include, but is not limited to, business operations and engineering, information technology, new product development, as well as traditional areas of executive management and finance. This role will report to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Risk Management & Insurance within the Finance Department.

What you’ll do? 

Responsible for managing worldwide corporate insurance programs, including the negotiation of insurance placement structure and pricing, annual insurance renewals, and interaction between insurance brokers and insurers. Serve as risk management contact for insurance brokers and insurance carriers.

Prepare insurance applications and renewal market submission documentation for all lines of coverage; Review policy terms & conditions and quotes; Make recommendations on appropriate coverage, insurance limits and retention levels. 

Manage and oversee all claim related activities; Liaise with legal on all claim related matters; Resolve claim disputes with carriers;  Communicates and escalates insurance claims and risks quickly and efficiently across the organization to maximize recoveries.

Support day-to-day operations of corporate risk management, including policy administration and certificates of insurance for contractual compliance. Process invoices and issue certificates of insurance as requested.

Prepare loss analyses, identifying exposures, recommending solutions and implementing approved programs

Manage third party providers (including brokers, insurers and third party administrators)

Manage internal Company relationships related to all insurance programs

Review contractual insurance requirements and make recommendations on appropriate insurance language to various business units

Collaborate and work effectively on cross-functional teams with Finance, Legal, HR, Real Estate, Health & Safety, and Corporate Security on various risk management programs and initiatives, including development of policies and playbooks.

Prepare ad hoc presentations to internal business units on insurance programs and exposures

Prior work experience in a Corporate Risk Management environment desired

Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience

Minimum 6+ years Insurance Risk Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional designation desirable (ARM or CRM)

Production & Media Liability insurance experience is a plus

Experience in high-tech or entertainment industry preferred

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $142,000-$214,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $135,000-$203,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $121,000-$182,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
