Position Overview
This position is responsible for growing our Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance business (with a focus on Commercial) throughout the region.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, cultivate, solicit and close new business for the company focusing on offering risk management solutions to commercial clientsGenerate and continuously cultivate an ongoing list of prospectsUtilize cold calls, prospecting emails, mail, professional associations, and networking to build a relationship with clients and prospectsIdentify opportunities for the cross-selling of other lines of insurance as well as other solutions offered by World (such as Human Capital, Payroll and Employee Benefits, etc.)Assess all forms of risk exposure, make recommendations, and create custom programs to eliminate gaps in coverageIdentify opportunities to round out accounts for existing clientsMaintain client relationships and drive retention of accounts through the renewal workflow / processQualifications
Previous sales experience, experience working in an insurance brokerage or carrier a plus but not requiredSelf-motivated, driven, personable and highly motivated to achieve successGood written and verbal communication and presentation skillsExcellent time management, organization and follow-up skills - Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlinesConsultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients and associatesExcellent listening skills with strong customer focus - including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistanceApplied Epic or similar agency management software experience is a plusHubSpot and related sales tools a definite plusAble to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team membersAbility to contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behavior and effort to achieve goals and objectivesAttention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracyThe ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive informationAbility to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitudeEqual Employment Opportunity
