Position Number: 012095 Department: Counseling & Health Serv (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential job duties of the insurance associate are to manage and process claims for billing according to governmental regulations, review unpaid/denied claims to determine trends and address root cause, and process payments and electronic remittances. This position will provide insurance education, training, and customer service to inquiries regarding insurance by phone, email and other written correspondence and in person. Minimum Experience / Education: Required Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from high school and demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through four years of specialized office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: + Training as a medical coder and familiar with CPT Codes and ICD10 codes. + Experience working in a healthcare facility processing insurance claims for medical services. + Proficient in the use of Microsoft office including Excel. + Experience in healthcare setting. + Strong customer service skills.
