Responsibilities:
Maintains multi line phone system.
Taking messages for medical records if designated person is not available.
Obtains appropriate patient/guardian signatures on required forms. Monitors and maintains waiting room and waiting for patients and their families.
Prepares charts, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality are maintained.
Responsible for verification of completeness and filing of all patient medical records accurately, and in a timely manner.
Receives cash co-payments from patients and follows corresponding procedure for cash collection.
Responsible for answering phones and taking messages, opening and distributing mail received in the afternoon.
Print dictated letters on letterhead sent by dictation to email and distribute to physicians? desks to sign.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Excellent computer skills in word, excel, outlook and data entry.
Keyboard skills of proficient level
Ability to operate computer, various software packages (preferably Microsoft Office, Windows), copy machine, fax machine and scanner and other machines.
Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Minimum two to four years related registration/receptionist experience, health care setting preferred.
Minimum two to four years customer service experience
