Job Mission

At the Material Planning department, you and your team set the stable & reliable plan for make and buy items, enabling our supply chain to deliver, while balancing availability and inventory in line with business objectives. You are the orchestrator of the ASML supply chain, ensuring material availability for our factories and customers. You understand and clarify demand dynamics towards your supplying parties, supporting your counterparts to meet the ASML growth path. In this position you will play an important role in the decision support process towards senior management. As people leader, you achieve organizational objectives through your team's coordinated achievements and an extensive stakeholder network.

You will be accountable for:  

Material availability to secure system output and service events at our customersBalanced inventory levels to reduce the risk of excess & obsolescence (E&O)Deployment of planning signals by implementing and improving planning policies, methodologies and parameters Successful implementation of improvements

You will be responsible for:

Leading a team of material planners for both make modules and buy parts.Acting as a role model by living the ASML values, actively inviting feedback and taking care of wellbeingCoaching your team in their personal development goals and enabling them to performBuilding a diverse and inclusive team, creating a setting that allows to contribute to the business priorities by translating ASML’s strategy into a clear vision and (cascading of) goals for your team and team membersOwning your content, developing a deep understanding of the ASML supply chain and end-to-end processes and building meaningful relationship with a range of stakeholders (eg demand planning departments, supplier facing departments, product lifecycle management, production planning)Managing material availability in the weekly, monthly, and quarterly plan cycle processes, ensuring business and financial constraints are taken into accountAdditional coordinating tasks for the benefit of the whole department. For example, coordination of recruitment, training & onboarding, or creation of critical path overview for the plan.Reporting out on team and department performance and initiating and supporting improvement initiatives.

Education

Relevant Master or advanced degree (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration).

ExperienceGood understanding of and experience with supply chain management processes, with focus on material/ supply planningExperience in leading and building diverse teams (>5 people)Experience in setting-up and leading projects successfullyExperience with S&OPGeneric understanding of different SAP solutions and productivity tools (eg Spotfire, PowerBI)Affinity with technical content and/or background in a technical industry is a plusSoft skillsCustomer dedicated and service mindedProactive attitude, strong internal driveCan adapt management & communication style to suit different individuals and settingsAbility to lead people through times of change and high pressureAbility to set goals and priorities for the teamAbility to get to the core of data analyses and create top-level overview / strategic insightCapable of influencing senior stakeholders by seeking to understand and find consensusPresentation skills, translating complexity to understandable storyline  Drive for continuous improvement of processesProfessional communication in English, both verbal and writtenContext of the position

Planning and Delivery (P&D) combines all planning activities across ASML, bringing demand and supply perspectives closer together. P&D collaborates closely with business lines and sectors to connect requirements and priorities into an integrated business plan, while remaining clear on bottlenecks and real constraints, so we can stretch them to meet opportunities without becoming unrealistic. This allows P&D to become the unbiased, trusted partner that helps ASML to remain both ambitious and realistic in its business planning and capacity and increases our combined solution power to drive improvements. 

The P&D organization focuses on four key activities: 

Planning, planning strategy and improvement Integral demand and supply (0-3 year horizon) Capacity preparation planning (>3 year horizon) Delivery: freight, customs and warehousing
