Integrated & Automation Testing Engineer

Job Summary

This position is for Integrated & Automation Testing where candidate is responsible for developing and testing of Integrated & Automation Test/scripts for power plant control, optimization, and simulation, in fully assembled system environment. The job would also include coordination with peers, leads and supervisor during project execution so as to meet the deliverables within specified time schedule. The successful candidate will work as part of a global multi-cultural development team. 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Perform Integration testing during initial phase of Software testing.  Perform Software benchmark & performance testing and share performance metrics with customers. Compare & Analyze performance data with different releases Build full capacity setup of Hardware/Software and perform long run testing using scripts Periodically analyze long run/soak test setup for anomalies  Developing test automation scripts and configuration  Create an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture (TAA) Craft and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet the business needs.  Develop a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process. Define and gather metrics to effectively report progress of the test automation program. Actively participate in the software reviews from the software quality and testability perspective Apply observation/Defect to improve the test automation process. Develop a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process. Manage and optimize testing assets to facilitate maintainability and address evolving (test) systems.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor of Engineering degree or any equivalent experience  in Computer Science, Electronic and Communication, Electrical Engineering, related Engineering field Minimum 3-8 years’ proven experience in Integration/ automation testing Experienced in Open-source testing tools used for building automated tests Experience in Performance & Benchmark testing Experience on scripting languages like Python, PowerShell & VB scripting Experience in Windows Operating Systems Work closely with Development teams, drive test plan / specification reviews for assigned features. Strong test mentality exhibiting excellent analytical problem-solving skills and strong debugging skills Ability to present issues found in testing to the Product Development Engineers Knowledge on SDLC Good English verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Experience with the Agile methodologies Experience in configuring or operating DCS, PLC or SCADA Knowledge on development languages (C, C#, etc.) Knowledge of virtualization, configuration of CISCO switches and routers Knowledge in discrete and continuous controllers, HMI, bus technologies and field instrumentation Familiarity with the power generation and/or water / wastewater industries
