We are looking for an experienced applicant to support the team with the critical part of data ingestion & delivery. The role requires a deep understanding of data ingestion & infrastructure, experience with data governance & protection guidelines and excellent project & stakeholder management skills. Working in a diverse and dynamic team, the ideal candidate will have an excellent communication and organisational skills, an eye for detail and, ideally, an established internal ING network.
The Team
The Data Lead role is part of the IC Data & Digitalisation team. As the Data Lead you will be responsible for a number of large-scale data ingestion and implementation projects . Additionally, you will be leading the department’s data competency campaign and roadshows. Interest in data analytics & AI would be a great asset. This role has direct reporting line to the IC Head of Data & Digitisation.
Roles and responsibilities
Lead and support existing and new data ingestion projects in accordance with our Compliance NEXT strategy.
Be responsible for a complex delivery roadmap and priority setting.
Discuss & verify architecture, data exchange agreements & all legal documentation to support data ingestion.
Present & negotiate the IC Compliance priorities in quarterly QBRs.
Contribute to the data competency campaign and organise data roadshows for a global audience.
Champion data literacy and future technologies.
Explore strategic way to utilise data to support the department’s vision of a data driven Compliance function.
Partner with the analytics departments to explore AI/GenAI opportunities for the department.
Managing and contributing to strategic projects utilising problem solving frameworks
Identifying issues, proposing solutions and communicating insights to key decision maker
Proactively seek improvement possibilities for all D&D projects

Bachelor’s degree in Data, Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
Sound knowledge of the data architecture & ingestion processes
Strong project management skills with experience in managing large-scale projects.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Affinity with IT systems and a professional framework certification (e.g. Kanban, SCRUM) is a plus
