Job Description:

Job Purpose :The purpose of the ILANS officer is to implement the area programme of ILANS and related project to improve child wellbeing, according to standards, SO requirements and the needs and expectations of communities and local partners. The job holder is  responsible for Integrated lively hood & nutration program implmenting via the new adaptive stratgy aimprove their livelihoods of the conflict-affected communities in Enderta Area Program.She/he is required to mobilize the community, facilitate target selection and registration. She/he recordes and keeps all the necessary documents on the operations executed.

Major Responsibility

Responsible for Plan, implement and monitor activities in partnership with communities, local government and partners in the approved detailed implementation plan/DIP/yearly plans as per the assigned Multisector Project.Assure that sponsorship is fully integrated into the planning, implementation and monitoring systems of the TP plan & activities. Monitor an assigned portfolio of registered children as per the sponsorship standards in coordination with a group of volunteers and AP institutions.Perform project activities & monitored in relation to their ITTs and that lessons are discussed, shared and acted on.Support the capacity development of Community volunteers, TFE and local community institutions to manage RC communications and Programme mobilization.                                                                                                                      Capacitate Gov. staffs’ communities, NGO, to identify, plan and implement actions to improve the wellbeing of children.Represent world vision’s core values, mission, vision and strategy with communities, local partners and local government.Assure that relevant cross cutting themes (child protection, HEA, gender, disability, and environment) are integrated into the TPs implementation.Produce and submit reports to the AP manager and/or AP MEAL officer as per the standards of the AP and LEAP. Conduct post-distribution monitoring (PDM and facilitate the overall process (supporting the monitoring team and mobilizing HHs and partners to be contacted for the monitoring), compile and submit project final narrative report with all evidences, pictures and interest stories.Contribute to the development of new projects and activities to be implemented as part of the TP. Carry out any other duties as instructed by the AP manager.

Required Professional Experience

At least 3 years’ experience in community ( ILANS)  Integrated Lively hood & Nuitration emergency response.Knowledge and experience of integrated lively hood and nutrition security is an advantage.Grass root work experience in development projects management, emergency response, ILANS Emergency response .

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

BSc/BA Degree in the fields of ILANS Agriculture, economics and related fields.Professional technical skill associated with TP assessment, training, experience is desired.NGO experience is preferred.

                                                                                

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

Intensive skills of working on MS-word and MS-excelExperience of supervising ILANS Emergency response.Analytical skills of field data recording, good report writing and presentationMust be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational and any diversities.Attend, participate and lead in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.Perform other duties as required.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

The position requires ability and willingness to work at kebeles and villages.
