Essential Function:
This position supports the HBCO Marketing Director to ensure the strategic development and effective integration of marketing plans to support business results in both sales and traffic growth. This position will have direct responsibility for all aspects of marketing impacts, from monthly promotions, social calendars, event and post pacing, visual impacts, and category deliverables of Happy Beauty Co. Overall responsibilities include day-to-day management and execution of marketing business processes to maximize sales and gross margin objectives, while managing inventory objectives for categories. Works actively with the cross-functional teams inclusive of our 3rd party marketing partners in developing and executing strategic objectives to ensure long term sustained growth. This position is hybrid, reporting into the office in Denton TX on Tuesdays and Weds of each week.

Primary Duties:
Strategy Development: Partner and collaborate with key stakeholders (data analytics, insights, merchandising) / relevant business partners to gather the appropriate insights to develop evidence-based strategies to grow and sustain the business. Attend key meetings / calls to stay informed and up-to-date on business, category and merchandising goals and priorities. Gain buy-in and approval from Directors and leadership and socialize strategies across teams and channels. Develop and maintain a marketing playbook to orchestrate processes and deliver impacts on time. Compose monthly calendars, with desired programming across all channels—email, digital, social, direct mail, and ecommerce platforms to highlight critical impacts and excitement of aggregate categories. Work collaboratively with merchants and cross functional teams to maximize first to market approach of on-trend, new products to maximize sales potential. Additionally, build promotional and pricing strategies with merchant lead direction for inventory movers to ensure overall success of new business model. Support category management process by researching, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from marketing data, as well as becomes a student of the best practices in beauty marketing—elevating the impact and connection with our consumer.
Integration: Develop category briefs, present and support implementation of category/storytelling activation to support the overall business and brand strategy, key strategic initiatives and monthly promotional activity. Works independently and/or supports Happy Beauty Co team to build promotional signage, instore vendor impacts, and overarching messaging for key stories: brands, solutions, and off-price programming. Work to establish processes for vendor provided tools, and connection to draw from their platforms and gain new followers. Deliver seamless coordination between creative development, approval, and delivery of weekly posts.
Day-to-Day Project Management: Drive marketing projects, and vendor / brand social media relationships. Execute projects against timelines, track performance, provide assessment of results to review with recommendations to repeat or pivot when results are not as desired.
Research / Consumer Insights: Responsible for ongoing development of internal insights repository with new consumer accessibility being offered Holiday 24. Be an expert on the consumer (both from secondary insights and internal / primary insights) and translate into actionable recommendations. Support analysis with competitive comparisons, sharing new ways to deliver value message, capture customers and add to door swings.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or advertising 4+ years of experience in an agency environment or corporate brand marketing / strategy Experience leveraging primary research, data and consumer insights into actionable business initiatives Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment Knowledge of the marketing laws of growth and marketing effectiveness tenets and principles Organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and quickly react to changing business needs while meeting firm deadlinesCompetencies & Attributes:
