Job Title: Integrated Material Solutions Engineer
Location: East Hartford, Connecticut
Experience: 1 to 4 years

About the Role
We are looking for an Integrated Material Solutions Engineer to join our team in East Hartford, Connecticut. This role will be pivotal in the design, development, and optimization of material solutions used in aerospace manufacturing. You will be working on cutting-edge projects that support the development of components for aircraft engines and other aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 4 years of experience in material science, engineering, or a related field, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to identify material solutions that enhance product performance.Support the development and optimization of materials for aerospace applications, including composites, metals, and coatings.Conduct testing and analysis to ensure materials meet aerospace industry standards for durability and performance.Troubleshoot material-related issues in production processes and recommend improvements.Participate in the design and development of new materials for future aerospace applications.Document material specifications, testing results, and any necessary improvements for future reference.

Sample Projects

Development of lightweight, high-strength materials for aircraft engines.Optimization of composite materials to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.Investigation of alternative coatings to improve heat resistance and durability in high-performance components.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.1 to 4 years of experience in material solutions or related engineering roles.Familiarity with aerospace materials, including metals, composites, and advanced polymers.Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in material testing and analysis.Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, FEA).Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards and processes is a plus.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
