Position Responsibilities:
Manages product line of software-defined communication payloads based on IPA technologies across Commercial and Defense marketsDrives for common technologies, architectures, and design and build processes across programsOversees roadmap for company and program funded developmentsMaintains relationship with key telecom suppliers to help maintain and advance their capabilities in space, and seek alternate suppliers or verticals as neededWorks with Capability leaders to develop talent in design, manufacturing, and test of phased array payloadsManages employees performing business and program management activities in the area of Sub Array Electronics, Payload and Array Design Integration, and Payload TestDevelops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goalsAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesEstablishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement planManages, develops and motivates employeesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higherMore than 10 years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completionExperience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) or experience creating estimatesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience generating budgets, working with program health metrics, and critical path analysisMore than 3 years of experience working with Space Flight Hardware in Electronics, Array Antennas, and/or Digital Payload Sub-SystemsSuccessful completion of a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time (typically one week per quarter).
