+ Apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and methods to address unique, novel, or complex challenges.
+ Provide expert guidance to professional colleagues and/or agency officials in areas related to engineering and program operations.
+ Develop and recommend innovative solutions to improve or advance existing programs, methods, or techniques.
+ Lead or contribute significantly to the execution of high-impact projects representing a critical segment of the agency’s operations.
+ Exercise judgment and ingenuity to evaluate the applicability of new technologies, strategies, trends, or applications.
+ Investigate and anticipate potential issues extending beyond a single specialty area that may impact standards or precedents.
+ Collaborate in the development of new standards, theories, applications, or concepts that advance the agency’s objectives.
+ Assess and execute strategies to ensure the integrity, economy, quality, and effectiveness of engineering programs.
+ Advocate for or implement recommendations to resolve conflicting policies, issues, or concerns, and drive the adoption of new practices or technologies.
+ Other duties as assigned, depending on program needs and objectives.
**Qualifications/Technical Experience Requirements:**
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.
+ Active Secret security clearance is required.
+ Current or prior Department of Defense (DoD) experience is highly preferred.
+ Extensive experience in applying engineering theories and principles to address complex problems and advance scientific or operational programs.
+ Proven ability to provide expert guidance and recommendations in a broad, multi-disciplinary environment.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing technologies and methodologies.
+ Demonstrated capability in the development and implementation of new engineering standards, processes, or technologies.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
