As an Integration and Delivery Engineer you are a member of the test and integration team in Software Infrastructure and Computer Systems (SICS) and integrates the deliverables from SICS development teams into assemblies and checks the quality of these assemblies before delivery to system integration.
Role and responsibilitiesAs a member of the SICS integration team you focus on the integration strategy, automating integration and related quality checks to enable fast and easy integration for developers .
You'll be working agile following the SAFe framework and run multiple agile release trains (ARTs). Additionally some projects are running outside the ART. Together with your team you ensure that the delivering teams have their deliveries defined and planned.
As Integration and Delivery Engineer, you'll:
Identify potential risks in integration and challenge the teams to deliver the best possible quality and be a gatekeeper for the quality of the assemblies. Ensure the integration plan is aligned with development teams during planning events
Are able to handle multiple deliveries and patches in parallel; have a bigger picture and you are able to analyze the impact based on the changes in the delivery.
Maintain Jenkins jobs to ensure test are run regularly; analyze test results regularly to identify which deliveries in the past have caused an issue & identify improvement actions to notify the development teams.
Define the departmental integration strategy together with the integration team and align with other integrators from projects and teams to ensure fully aligned integration pert.
Integrate the cloud testing initiative as part of the integration strategy
Education and experienceTo help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you'll need experience on high-tech products and with complex processes. As Integration engineer, you'll need:
Bachelor 's degree in engineering
At least 7 years of relevant experience in integration, testing and software delivery.
Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, ClearCase, or similar version control systems.
Experience as SW integrator with a large codebase in a mixed repository environment.
Experience in maintaining an automated CI/CD environment and in programming/scripting and/or (test) automation
Experience in taking full ownership of integrating the deliverables from multiple development teams
Experience as Team lead in the past OR has interest to grow towards lead role
Experience in agile way of working (preferably SAFe)
