General Summary:

An Integration Architect is responsible for the implementation, support and/or upgrade of Cerner solutions that represent an integrated Cerner domain. The integration Architect coordinates design, system validation, implementation, and upgrade activities across solutions and venues of care. The Integration Architect acts as primary resource for Cerner domain and ancillary tool security to include development of positions, roles preferences as well as coordination and completion of access audits to ensure user access to protected health information is limited to the minimum required to perform assigned duties.

Essential Functions: Provides solution functionality and integration expertise to technical teams. Serve as the integration expert across solutions and interfaces, providing troubleshooting and process expertise. Mentors analysts in integration knowledge, troubleshooting and consulting skills. Consult on workflow integration touch points, supporting Clinical and Application Analysts and Clinical and business departments. Ensure design decisions include considerations across solutions and fall within scope. Assists in the coordination of interface activities with interface team and providing data conversion/migration expertise. Assist with peripheral device implementation strategy. Assist the engineer(s) that drives the strategy. Communicate key messages to the team, including testing requirements, domain and code strategies. Responsible for environmental/domain planning and management including regression testing after code installs. Coordinate and plan domain copies, reference data domain synchs (RDDS), and activity deletes ensuring a regression test plan exists around each of these activities. Drive distribution package analysis and installation, including monitoring and managing of proactive checks. Own the Cerner Bedrock process, including the domain strategy and security configuration for the Bedrock system. Maintain domain that supports the training strategy. Coordinate operations job (ops job) schedule development. Drives system validation process and provides testing guidelines for all levels of testing. Ensures change control processes are in place and executed. Monitor Cerner issues and ensure all issues are getting resolved in a timely fashion. Assist leadership in managing quality assurance, risk issues, and escalations. Assist in developing appropriate policies and procedures for issue management and change control. Works in accordance with organizational security policies and procedures. Understands personal role in safeguarding data. Takes appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of role. Develops and coordinates effective detailed scripts and SWIs for application issue resolution, and testing of applications. Prepares project reports for IS management, stakeholder or others. Address project issues through identifying and recommending a course of action while taking into account the project scope, project constraints and deliverables in order to enable continued program success. Plans, and evaluates complex projects and makes recommendation for resources required to build, maintain and/or expand service levels. Responsible for the completion of assigned projects within quality, budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Understands and uses multiple vendor issue management, escalation and knowledge base. Supports end users in the use of Fisher-Titus applications by consistently providing reliable, timely assistance, problem resolution and an additional secondary layer of senior analyst troubleshooting by supporting on-call Queue Manager as necessary. Shows timely escalation of Department/Application issues to Applications Manager or Infrastructure & Operations Manager as needed. In the event neither are available escalates to the IS Director. Inspires respect and trust. Increases own knowledge level; encourages and contributes to other analysts' application knowledge. Makes recommendations in support of Hospital strategic initiatives/projects. Participates in The Fisher-Titus Way for Lean six sigma process improvement. Supports peers by being available in a secondary or tertiary support level to others in IS both on and off shift as needed. Mentors other analysts to enable support for areas when primary/secondary analyst is not available. Creates quality Standard Work Instructions (SWI). Documents current state and future state of major workflows and changes. Documents application or infrastructure changes, current issues and routine support topics. Verbalizes positive support of Cerner and our IS policies and procedures. Becomes a positive agent for change as indicated by IS leadership. Actively markets Fisher-Titus, Information Services and Cerner with peers, within other departments and in the public view. Coordinates All Cerner Code Upgrades, Environment system refreshes and Deprod steps. Oversees and conducts Domain Strategy.  Meets Monthly / Biweekly to discuss current and upcoming Domain activity with internal department resources. Oversees and initiates ongoing Code management, package requests from and for analysts. Maintains the system to be on the most recent content released by Cerner. Assists in the clarification and research into CRs and their resolutions.  Writes / Assists in the process of Obligation requests as needed. Acts in the role of Cerner Security Analyst developing new Positions / Roles and Preferences. Monitors builds and assists analysts with Operations jobs in Olympus and maintains security of new and current users in Olympus.  Maintains security of new analysts / users in the Code Management Sharepoint system. Assists with problems issues associated with Cerner.com account creation. Oversees P2 Sentinel as the primary point of contact.
