Job Description
As an Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration of various components and systems within our vehicles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the development, testing, and implementation of new features and processes. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesAdjust update processes for option matrices, compiling information from multiple sources to maintain document quality.Support team by communicating updates to relevant test teams and gathering feedback.Provide process support to prevent manufacturing confusion for proposed features.Serve as a knowledge base for engine information, answering questions and facilitating knowledge transfers.Resolve shop calls and streamline communication to meet timeline goals and cost reduction targets.Ensure documentation accuracy to identify and control communication lapses before production.Implement cost reduction methods through engine kit ordering processes.Coordinate between integration and mockup teams to create informative engine tags.Facilitate alignment to manage engine requests and prevent budget overruns.Create processes to maintain updated digital engine records and resolve longstanding documentation issues.Develop visualizations and concepts to solve packaging issues, ensuring design constraints are met.Fill in for teammates and investigate communication differences with design teams.Establish rapport with teams to facilitate component modifications.Assist technicians with the proper installation of prototype components.Field questions regarding design choices and explain planned changes to technicians and engineers.Aid teams in meeting deadlines for workshops, coordinating and organizing shipping orders.Create cost analysis for potential changes based on production volume.Answer questions regarding engine specifications and designs, providing manufacturing information and timelines.Essential Skills2+ years of experience within an automotive diagnostics or Baja program, preferably with 1+ years of on-the-job experience.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in integration engineering or a similar role.Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.Experience with automotive software, integration, root cause analysis, and root cause analysis software.Proficiency in software engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssist technicians in installing modules on test trucks to increase efficiency and verify vehicle accuracy.Resolve communication breakdowns and escalate issues to prevent delays.Use CAD software to check team work accuracy and create designs for meetings.Establish connections with teams to resolve engine integration issues and specify necessary components.Attend meetings on behalf of team members to report information and maintain team presence.Work Environment
This position is based onsite in Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00
