Integration Engineer
Location: Albany, NY Category: Engineering Posted On: Fri Jan 10 2025 Job Description: Job Description for Integration Engineer JOB SUMMARY This position is an entry level integration engineering position. The candidate is expected to work within an environment that requires regular interaction with the Integration Engineering team, Process Engineering team, Operations team and the cleanroom operators (CSOs). It will be critical to work seamlessly across these teams in order to optimize the efficiency of the overall business, both from a business-process perspective as well as fabrication cycle times to best manage work-in-process (WIP) for current and future orders. This position will work with senior engineers to establish objectives and establish Ready for Process (RFP) products. It will also work across teams to develop test structures to characterize and develop new devices in the line. The position will require detailed documentation to support program certifications and clear communication when dealing with stakeholders. An engineer in this position will work across teams to develop a thorough understanding of the capabilities of the Albany line that will enable them to define future devices and project specifications. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Establish, setup, and execute experimental & health of line production runs within the 300 mm line. + Interact with key stakeholders (customers, support staff) to understand and define the requirements for projects + Characterizing and summarizing results of experiments and other production runs. + Documentation of results in the forms of papers and presentations and procedures for training purposes. + Other reasonable duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements for Integration Engineer + B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or equivalent Engineering and/or Science discipline from a college or University accredited by the USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization. + A deep understanding of the semiconductor industry and how to integrate processes that can be used for meeting unique customer expectations is a prerequisite. Therefore, an understanding and working knowledge of process integration for semiconductor technologies that can be applicable to traditional CMOS manufacturing, and a deep understanding of materials systems suitable for FEOL and BEOL development is desired. A working knowledge of equipment and process interactions is critical. + This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. + The ability to communicate clearly to C-level executives is expected. NY CREATES is a multi-client, consortium environment, and the successful individual must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. + Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment is a must. This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS + 2-5 years of experience working in the semiconductor industry as an Integration Engineer in one or more areas of advanced CMOS/Derivatives Integration.
