WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a result of some exciting programme wins, we currently have a permanent vacancy for an Integration Engineer to work alongside the testing team for our Government client.  Supporting a multi-functional team and to manage the scheduling of project delivery, change and new business.  This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have DV clearance or be willing to undergo the clearance process.

The role will be supporting the transition, development & in-service running (inc. capability upgrades) of an IT application and Network solution providing support to a critical operational end user. Duties will include:

Working within a team of testers, reporting to the THOR Testing lead, to plan and deliver integration testing of a particular aspect of the system

Reviewing of requirements and design documents to identify Test Cases

Working with customers and suppliers to understand their testing and identifying any overlaps or gaps in the integrated solution to ensure efficient use of testing resource.

Creating of Test Cases in HPQC following a keyword driven approach, this includes identifying pre-requisites such as test data and test environment needs.

Execution of Test Cases and Procedures (manual & automated) to test the system and verify requirements

Documentation of test results and any defects

Reporting progress, risks and issues to Team Leads

Analysing data and test evidence from suppliers to show compliance against requirements

WHO DO WE NEED?

Required Skills:

Excellent understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional and Integration Testing;

Experience of systems integration testing, especially when integrating third party components or services;

Experience of creating Test Cases based on requirements and design documents;

Ability to communicate with customers and suppliers and go out and find answers to your questions;

Ability to identify, troubleshoot and debug issues across interfaces;

Experience of working successfully in dynamic and demanding working environments;

Analysing data and test evidence from suppliers to show compliance to requirements;

Enthusiastic, proactive, troubleshooting attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies;

ISTQB Foundation Certificate in software testing or 3 years test experience.

Experience of test planning, management and execution in large scale, complex virtualised and cloud computing environments.

Desired Skills:

Success in working within large-scale and complex integration programmes;

Experience of working with Service Oriented Architecture

Knowledge of virtualised products/services/solutions

Experience of working with high-integrity or safety-related real-time systems;

Knowledge of test automation concepts such as keyword driven framework;

Cameo, JIRA and HPQC (ALM) experience or equivalent tools;

Knowledge of the MEGA Enterprise Architecture framework or other modelling tools

Previous experience of working in the Defence Sector would be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite
