Job Title: Integration Engineer for RTSM Cube

Introduction to role

AstraZeneca is currently seeking an IT Integration Engineer to join our R&D IT Solution Delivery Team. You will manage and maintain our GxP-compliant RTSM product, which is integral to our Clinical Development Platforms and utilized across all therapeutic areas by our late science teams. As a member of our BizDevOps team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with other team members, including the Product Lead, DevOps Lead, and technical engineers.

Accountabilities

The role of our ideal candidate will include but is not limited to:

Serve as an internal consultant and Clinical domain expert for IT and business partners across regions and business areas.

Participate in business requirement gathering and design activities with business & IT stakeholders as part of the scrum team.

Perform delivery activities through Design / Build / Test / Deploy phases for regular releases and key platform initiatives.

Design and build extensions for RTSM Cube to accommodate custom business flows.

Ensure that all system security and control procedures are implemented and maintained.

Generate and implement ideas to simplify/streamline our integration landscape in alignment with integration design and patterns.

Maintain the configuration specification documentation for both functional and integration configuration.

Manage/Update JIRA Board during the lifecycle of an implementation focusing on requirements gathering, configuration, validation/testing, training, and go-live activities during releases.

Work with the Integration Platform team to edit/update/maintain integration interfaces.

Collaborate with the RTSM Cube technical team on requirements, issues related to RTSM Cube API, Security Set-up, and Functional Configuration.

Solve day-to-day incidents, service requests, and work towards incident-reduction and automation. Update Service Now (ticket management tool) for all events related to incidents, service requests, changes, and problems.

Drive small modules in support transitions and ensure application stability when taking over BAU support of new applications.

Review clinical protocols and provide direction on the best strategy for RTSM design and implementation.

Provide guidance and assist in the preparation of system-related specifications and documentation.

Provide guidance and consulting to clients on the best use of RTSM during study execution.

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues.

Build Integration pipelines in alignment with Standard architectural patterns & create reusable artifacts wherever possible.

Work with Integration DevOps Lead including vendor teams to build new integrations and manage existing integrations.

Essential Skills/Experience

8-10 years relevant experience in clinical development and/or software development environment preferred, with particular emphasis on RTSM/IRT experience.

End-to-end knowledge of clinical trial development processes and its associated system landscape.

Knowledge and experience in integration technologies – Mulesoft/Snaplogic.

Knowledge of SQL to write queries to help understand the integration requirements to be enabled via API-led integrations within Platform.

Knowledge of support processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and experience working in support teams.

At least 8+ years of experience related to API Terminologies and API Integration – preferably Mulesoft & Snaplogic.

Excellent SQL knowledge pertaining to Relational databases including RDS, Redshift, PostGres, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, DynamoDB.

Ensures following IT Service Delivery Framework adhered on AD activities.

Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Experience with process tools (JIRA, Confluence).

Ability to work independently and collaborate with people across the globe with diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Experience working in agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban, and SAFe.

Experience in integration of CI/CD processes into existing Change & Configuration Management scope (i.e. ServiceNow & Jira).

Experience in Python programming.

Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, AZURE.

Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS.

Desirable Skills/Experience

ITIL practices (change management, incident and problem management, and others).

Experience in GxP or SOx regulated environment.

Passion for learning, innovating, and delivering valuable software to people.

Experience with dynamic dashboards (e.g. PowerBI).

Experience in Signant Health - IVRS system is a plus.

Knowledge of using/creating build tools and CI/CD (maven, ant, gradle, Sonar or similar tools).

Experience working with GITHub, Automated Testing tools.

Experience delivering or developing workshop material, training, gap analyses, or requirements gathering sessions with business and system stakeholders.
