Job Overview

The Integration Project Manager serves as the primary project planner, facilitator and coordinator for Disney Cruise Line’s Dry Dock team. The role works directly with Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Marine Technical Dry Dock team, DCL Operations teams, Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) creative teams and other DCL partners to drive dry dock projects to completion.  This position is responsible for providing project scheduling, program management, analytical and communication support, aligning teams to deliver on project scope, schedule and budget throughout the project life cycle. The role is operations focused and will ensure that processes run efficiently, and project objectives are fulfilled.

This position will be based in the Disney Cruise Line offices in London, with 4 days per week onsite required.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and integration for Dry Dock projects across multiple work streams to drive scope delivery on time, on budget.Responsible for developing detailed project plans, organizing and coordinating tasks, resources, stakeholders and deliverables, providing deadlines, tracking and reporting for DCL Dry Dock project team. Develop and maintain a dashboard that consolidates all critical project information (baseline scope, estimates, financials, schedule, etc)Develop integrated schedule to effectively track and communicate project status to ensure clear accountability and drive timely decisions with DCL, WDI and shipyard. As schedule adjusts, lead contingency planning efforts across all areas. Responsible for project managing the development and approval of dry dock project scope and budget including feasibility studies, value analytics, justification and prioritization.Responsible for project managing and coordinating the detailed development phase ensuring operational, financial and compliance alignment.Responsible for managing DCL project objectives and that the approved scope of work, including scope changes, remain within the established financial parameters and deviations are appropriately communicated and approved.Responsible for tracking and reporting change requests, ensuring timely decisions are made and outcomes are communicated with all stakeholders.Manages the ship program and standards requirements, ensuring they are included in the design development of each project. Act as the key liaison between WDI & DCL partners during each stage of the design process.Provide WDI project and design managers with detailed analysis, practical evaluations of the design, and effective facilitation of decisions from operations teams as well as resolution management.  Responsible for planning and coordinating pre and post dry dock operational readiness in conjunction with the ship. Attends dry dock on site with the project team to assist with the program management and to produce regular reports on area progress and planning for return to service operations.  Support and integrate with other teams such as terminal operations, vendor and cast berthing, dry dock logistics, environmental and safetyIdentify and manage pre-repositioning dry dock space allocation needs for room utilization, storage planning, and broadcast support.Develop and maintain venue tracking for various states of operational readiness -- construction and outfitting, load-in and install, programming, training and rehearsals, and guest ready.In partnership with Operations Integration team, coordinate the ship repositioning strategy with DCL operations.  Identify, manage and communicate pre-repositioning space allocation needs onboard for room utilization, storage planning, and broadcast support.Assist in coordinating the logistical planning of shipyard and DCL inaugural events (e.g. media cruise, shakedown and preview sailings, etc.).Implement contingency planning efforts across all DCL teams.Responsible for organizing work sessions, vendor meetings, and ship inspections.Responsible for managing project documentation and implementing efficient internal processes, documenting minutes of meetings, decision logs, project information and developing and managing action plans. Maintain project resource document library for all teams to access current and archive information. Prepare and lead regular project updates for a variety of different audiences such as internal operation leaders, external vendors and executive steering committee.Lead DCL project reviews and manage documentation to be shared with Senior Executives of the Walt Disney Company and align with WDI teams in the preparation of presentations and information. Maintain clear communication channels between all stakeholders and project teams to mitigate communication gaps throughout the project life cycle. Maintain close partnership alliances with DCL Integrators from all DCL departmentsFacilitate and direct industrial engineering analysis and tool development as needed.Track lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle and contribute to continuous improvement strategies.Support the integration and project management of Newbuild programs as required.

Experience Required

Project management of large hospitality newbuild or refurbishment projects.Operational experience supporting PMO activities for cruise line newbuilding or dry dock projects ideal.Leadership experience managing and influencing functional specialists and cross-functional teams.
