SUMMARY

BGIS ITS Canada Ltd., a division of BGIS, is seeking a skilled and experienced Integration Specialist to join our team. As an Integration Specialist, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing integrated solutions using the Niagara Tridium platform. Your expertise will be critical in integrating diverse systems, protocols, and devices to create unified and efficient building automation and control systems. Responsibilities

System Integration: Design, develop, and deploy integrated solutions utilizing the Niagara Tridium framework, integrating various building systems such as HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management. Programming and Configuration: Develop custom programming logic and configure system components to meet project requirements, ensuring seamless communication between devices, protocols, and systems. Database Management: Create and manage databases within the Niagara Tridium platform, ensuring data integrity, security, and efficient storage and retrieval of information. System Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of integrated systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system performance and functionality. Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, technicians, and stakeholders, to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver integrated solutions on time and within budget. Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation including system design, specifications, programming logic, and user manuals to ensure effective knowledge transfer and support ongoing maintenance. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in the Niagara Tridium platform to identify opportunities for enhancing system performance and expanding service offerings.

 


Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered. Experience: Minimum 5 years as a system integrator and proven experience as an integrator, 
working with the Niagara Tridium platform or similar building automation systems. Experience in developing custom programming logic using Niagara Framework and configuring Niagara components. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of building automation systems, protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.), and IT networking principles. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is desirable. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop innovative solutions. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals. Time Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines. Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and independent.


Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or working toward.
• Niagara N4/AX certification is considered an asset.
