Integration Specialist

As an Integration Specialist, you will be a technical innovator for a leading Healthcare service provider. You will be highly focused and empathetic towards patient care, and the need to provide highly secure and reliable integrated solutions to support a variety of pathways.

As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and on-going monitoring and support of the various integration services across the InHealth estate.

We are flexible on locations and happy for you to be based anywhere in the country. This is a remote role, with occasional travel.

What you will do:

Work with the business to identify opportunities to automate and enhance the workflows of both new and existing processes. Work with the wider digital team and integrations team, on the delivery of the interoperability roadmap solutions, defining the best integration solution options. Work with the wider infrastructure teams to align activities with the organisation’s broader architectural strategy. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and vendors, ensuring the highest level of application integration, support and reliability. Provide escalated support for integration environments including RIS, PACS and interface engines. Support the creation of the strategy and further development roadmap for improved innovation, interoperability, and operational efficiency. Build and test Mirth interfaces and work with 3rd parties to deliver cross-system interfaces. Testing of all new interfaces and seeking of DPIA and CAB approvals for deployment, alongside routine auditing of interfaces. Participate in organising the ongoing upgrade of the underlying integration applications and services to ensure their continued reliability and support.

About you:

As a senior member of the IT team, you will need to have a proven track record and be able to demonstrate experience in many of the key areas of this role. These experiences include:

An understanding of DICOM, HL7 and FHIR standards Recent engagement with detailed Mirth technologies (HL7, XML, HTTP, JavaScript, TCP, we services, API) or any other interface engine. A degree level qualification in computing systems and/or engineering. Extensive understanding in a clinical systems environment, with particular reference to radiology systems and workflows. Detailed understanding of the software lifecycle and a supporting ITIL qualification. Management of 3rd party vendors, and engagement on projects with other IT organisations such as the NHS. Active, positive engagement in customer service and support desk activities. Management of stakeholder relationships at all organisation levels. An insight into project methodologies e.g. Agile or Prince 2.
