Overall Job Purpose
Provide leadership on the design, implementation and update of new and existing systems, developing and maintaining efficient and high-quality integrations.You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, site and regional data teams, to design, develop and support a wide range of solutions, contributing significantly to the site's digital offering.Key Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, monitoring and management of data flows between applications, databases, and cloud services, to identify/optimize architectures that support business processes and customer needs.Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of integrations, including troubleshooting existing integrations and providing technical support to the applications.Ensure the integrity, security and accuracy of database environments, whilst tracking performance of dependent applications.Design, develop or customize integrations between different software systems based on specific client requirements.Work closely with development teams to manage and optimize integrations, and troubleshoot any issues.Adhere to established development and integration frameworks, processes, best practices, and standards.Develop standards, processes, and documentation to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.Manage data access and navigation for operational use, whilst preventing unauthorized access and activitiesKey Job Attributes
Strong analytical skills, problem solving abilities and a solid understanding of software development and integration processes.Ability to design, develop and test solutions using industry standards and best practices.Analyze and optimize a system's operation and its efficiency to support business functions and deliverables.Ability to work independently and as part of a team whilst maintaining self-discipline under pressureAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languageCritical thinking and conflict management with an optimization mindsetStrong verbal and written communication skillsWork well as part of a global, multi-cultural teamExperience & Qualifications
At least 5 years integration engineering experienceExtensive MS SQL experience with a strong understanding of SQL management and design, including ETL, SSIS, and SSRSExperience securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, authorization, and data encryption methods.Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages (eg Python, C#)Experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and RESTExperience with iPaaS platforms/technologies preferredMining industry experience advantageousMembership of ICTAZBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldVisit our website and register for instant job alerts at careers.first-quantum.com
