Integration System Engineer

General Summary

An Integration System Engineer will develop, configure, and test integration solutions for GHX products and services. This individual will develop a strong working knowledge of our leading-edge GHX Internet B2B exchange system and growth products. With this knowledge and tools, the IE will answer customer's questions, assist customers in testing or upgrading these functions of the system, and help them when they have problems using or connecting to the system. Extensive collaborative troubleshooting and problem-solving may be required at times. They will work closely with Support, Development/QA, Implementation, and Infrastructure to ensure customer maintenance requests are managed effectively and with a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Requirements Development. Assists in the analysis of customer technical requirements for updates to the customer integration and ERP environment, supports ERP-specific integration points within internal systems, establishes connectivity with customer ERP, and ensures the validity of data that will be routed through the GHX Exchange. Solution Design. Recommends technical solutions to meet customer integration requirements.  Where standard solutions do not meet customer requirements or pose significant risks, develop and recommend alternative customer integration solutions.  Provides direction for overall document flow from end-customer to end-customer. Build Connections. Develops ERP-specific solutions using GHX and third-party applications and tools to perform the required interfacing functions. Guide GHX configuration. Provides direction cross-functionally to create customer mailboxes, routing and services rules, and system profiles to meet customer and ERP requirements.  Document transformation. Identifies needs for document mapping.  Build and configure transformation services using internal integration tools to apply data changes, as needed. Creates test plans that meet customer requirements and sufficiently reduce support risks.  Drives execution of test plan with the customer, including validation of results of GHX Services applied.  Communicate directly with customer technical resources or managers, as required, to coordinate and complete assigned tasks. Documentation.  Provides documentation deliverables as required for repeatable ongoing tasks above including Salesforce and/or Jira cases, technical specifications, requirements documents, workflow diagrams, technical summary, step-by-step training guides, and internal FAQ guides. Meet Support SLA. Drives completion of assigned tasks meeting or beating GHX-defined SLAs. Support Escalation. Acts as Tier 4 support escalation point issues related to implementations previously transitioned to Support.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, computer science or a related discipline or a combination of education and related experience. 3+ years of Experience in EDI (ANSI/X12), XML, and various flat file data formats 3+ years of experience in SFTP, HTTP/S, Web Services, API, AS2 or other file transfer protocols Knowledge/understanding of the healthcare Supply Chain and/or Procurement. Must demonstrate effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills in English Work effectively with minimal direction, learn quickly, and function effectively in a team environment. Good understanding of Information System components - including database, User Interface, and inter-application communication and processing logic. Good organizational skills and the ability to work within deadlines and while speaking with customers. Good analytical skills and the ability to work within deadlines and while speaking with customers on the specificity of client's data. Possess a working knowledge of Internet applications, browsers, search engines, mobile applications, Microsoft Office, and other related tools. Effective communication skills to be able to convey GHX requirements to customers and work with them to align their systems to operate within parameter

Preferred Experience

Salesforce experience. Experience working on cross-functional projects with internal and external participants. Knowledge/understanding of cloud-based ERP systems such as Infor Cloudsuite, Oracle Cloud, SAP, and Workday Knowledge/understanding of on-premises ERP systems such as Lawson, Meditech, Peoplesoft Proven ability to identify and solve customer problems and increase customer efficiency and product value. A positive customer-focused attitude. Ability to understand and work with complex enterprise application environments. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. Familiarity with ITIL and SLM Change Management concepts. Ability to identify recurring supply chain challenges and work with your team to develop methods to overcome those challenges.

Key Differentiator

4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or related field 3 - 6 years related work experience
