Overview Under the direction of the Activity Coordinator and program Chief conducts activities for patients. Responsibilities -Runs effective Activity Therapy groups. - Is therapeutic one-to-one contacts with patient. - Transmits information in a clear and timely manner to the charts. - Maintains a current and varied knowledge base on therapeutic techniques. - Assists in organizing and maintaining equipment and supplies. - Regularly communicates effectively with the multi-disciplinary team. - Utilizes supervisory and peer feedback to improve work performance. - Supervises students when assigned. Qualifications - MA degree in a mental field related to Occupational, Recreational, Creative Arts and/or Vocational Rehabilitation with/or eligible for certification, registration and/or license. - Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (C.T.R.S.).
