Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1660000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard. Responsibilities As an INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - TITLE 32, GS-0132-11, you will perform specialized duties and train assigned military unit members in the duties and functions associated with operational intelligence. Provide detailed intelligence analysis for mission planning, aircrew briefings and debriefings. Perform complex intelligence analysis of all pertinent threat weapons systems and geopolitical conditions that could impact the unit's mission success. Assist the Senior Intelligence Officer in assuring the intelligence function maintains a capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations. Coordinate with the Gaining Command on operational intelligence elements needed to carry out coordination and liaison with counterparts and colleagues in such other major command intelligence organizations as Air Combat Command (ACC) and Air Mobility Command (AMC), Air National Guard Bureau Headquarters (NGB), United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE), Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) and such other governmental agencies as Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Security Agency (NSA), U.S. Space Command (SPACECOM), Air Intelligence Agency (AIA), U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Provide guidance and assistance to unit and Gaining Command Intelligence specialists and serve to coordinate on projects jointly undertaken by the unit, Gaining Command, and other organizations. Plan and develop objectives and work schedules for training assigned intelligence personnel during Unit Training Assemblies (UTA), Annual Training (AT), and unit deployments. Identify training requirements and conducts or organizes training courses for intelligence personnel on operational intelligence related subjects to include worldwide surface-to-air missile (SAM), air-to-air missile (AAM), anti-aircraft artillery (AAA), aircraft capabilities and employment, and the marking and destruction of classified material. Subject Matter Expert (SME), trainer, and task certifier for all intelligence Initial Qualification Training (IQT), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), and Continuation Training (CT) to include all intelligence computer systems (non-targeting specific automated systems), order of battle maintenance, mission planning, and GI&S support. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Military Grades: E5 (SSgt) - E7 (MSgt) RANK REQUIREMENT: Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Area 3B applicants must meet the military qualifications and rank requirement when assessed as a member of the Kentucky Air National Guard. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard. You must be assigned to a compatible military position. Wear of the military uniform. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T5 or equivalent investigation and be eligible for access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI). Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. May be required to fly in military or commercial aircraft. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports using comprehensive working knowledge of intelligence support operations, procedures and practices. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment.
