The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a space intelligence analyst engaging in the semi-complex to complex technical analysis and production of information obtained and processed from one or more intelligence sources in support of customer requirements. Provide 24/7 Indications and Warning to the space warfighting domain. Responsibilities -Conducts 24/7 Indications and Warning Mission. May serve as intelligence subject matter expert supporting 24/7 opreations crews conducting offensive and defensive space operations in support of global warfighter requirements. Provides near real-time threat warning on adversary space weapons systems and characterization of adversary counterspace activity. -Serves as a space intelligence analyst on semi-complex to complex technical analysis and production activities. Situations/information analyzed and/or produced are not susceptible to generally accepted methods, and requires the use of independent judgment and experience in selecting and/or developing new methods approaches, and procedures. -Present ISR semi-complex to complex capabilities to service, national, and coalition customers within defined areas of responsibility. Provides management with the detailed space intelligence information and analysis derived from ISR assets to maximize Commanders forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths. -Conducts semi-complex to complex analysis of multi-source space intelligence. Evaluates both classified and unclassified critical and/or sensitive information to understand adversary strengths, weaknesses and centers of gravity. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of a wide range of space intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multisource intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing space intelligence capabilities and threat assessments. Knowledge of advance analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of semi-complex to complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of space intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing space intelligence capabilities and threat assessments. 2. Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detail analyses of semi-complex to complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation. 3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, interrelationships and operations. 4. Skill in conducting unbiased, difficult research, identify appropriate available systems/data sources, and produce collections requirements assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities and to develop new methods, approaches, or procedures. 5. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. 6. Ability to maintain control of classified material, assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data estimates, and make effective recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure. CONDTIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT'D: 1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special\Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 2. This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. Therefore, incumbent is required to: (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and misuse of prescription medication, and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing on short notice. Incumbent must pass initial and may be selected for random drug testing. May be subject to reasonable suspicion testing and safety mishap or accident testing. 3. Incumbent is subject to uncommon tour of duty hours to include proficiency shifts, rotating shifts, nights, weekends,and holidays on an infrequent basis. Extended shift work (12 hours), and off-duty hours on-call, particularly during Command exercises, special events, and emergencies. 4. Incumbent will be subject to a random counterintelligence (CI)-scope polygraph examination and psychological screening prior to gaining access and during the period of access to SAPs. All personnel must sign a SAP indoctrination agreement documenting this consent per AFI 16-701, para 1.4. Must satisfactorily pass such examination as a condition of employment. 5. This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF) which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions. IAW, DoDI 3020-42, Defense Continuity Programs. 6. This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
