Summary You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist (ACINT Signature SIA) in the ACINT Dept. ofFARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER. As a SME you will use recognition, characterization, exploitation of acoustic signature components radiating from foreign naval platforms. Responsibilities You will research, analyze, and evaluate acoustic data collected by multiple sensors to produce non-standard and innovative assessments and conclusions in assigned area. You will prepare and present briefings on projects, studies, and analyses to high-level audiences. You will conduct quality assurance checks on acoustic analysis results generated by senior platform signature analysts and ensure accuracy of source identification and overall final classification. You will apply new and/or revise prior theories, methodologies, or procedures to satisfy non-standard complex technical acoustic intelligence problems that cannot be solved by standard guidelines and practices. You will represent the ACINT Dept. at conferences and exchanges with foreign partners on all aspects of acoustic signature analysis. You will participate as a representative of the activity as an expert in assigned area with commitment authority on panels and committees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as: 1) Perform acoustic analysis using a variety of spectrum analyzers to determine acoustic signature content; 2) Generate complex analytical reports and presentations based on existing and original analysis; 3) Develop new analytical techniques and refine existing ones; 4) Create unprecedented approaches, analytical tools and methods to analyze unique situations and draw accurate and significate conclusions; 5) Train and mentor junior and senior analysts on all aspects of acoustic signature analysis Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Education N/A Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
