Intelligence Specialist (Staff Management)
Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-WND599 501ST MILITARY INTEL BRIGADE. 501ST MILITARY INTELLIGENCE BRIGADE, BRIGADE S-3, CAMP HUMPHREYS, REPUBLIC OF KOREA. Responsibilities Serves as the Brigade intelligence systems engineer manager for all aspects of planning, coordinating, and implementing joint and combined Intelligence and Electronic Warfare (IEW) operations. Serves as the subject matter expert in the field of intelligence systems and their associated command and control and communications systems. Interprets the significance of intelligence in relation to and in support of on-going Intelligence Systems Integration and Architecture programs. Responsible for the Brigade's intelligence systems architecture; for acquisition, fielding, and integration of new capabilities and systems; and for modernization, upgrades, and life cycle replacement of existing capabilities, and systems. Determines systems and capabilities gaps and formulates site transition plan; develops new or unique methodologies to obtain systems to fill these gaps. Recommends and develops changes to operational procedures, priorities, and policies including maximizing current system capabilities and evaluating potential effectiveness of future systems and making recommendations for acquisition and upgrades. Coordinates the intelligence systems security accreditation and entry/installation. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS-[12] that prepared you to do this job. Specialized experience is defined and experience which includes planning, coordinating and implementing the integration of Intelligence Electronic Warfare (IEW) system architecture; and identifying and recommending necessary system changes or upgrades that support advancements in IEW, new capabilities, and changing mission requirements. This definition of specialize experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service. Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12. Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care.
