ASRC Federal is seeking a strong Interdisciplinary Engineer to help support a USDA contract focusing on loans and grants.   This ideal candidate will be a certified degreed mechanical or electrical engineer who is experienced with conducting reviews and analyses of the design, procurement, construction, and operation of proposed electrical distribution, transmission, and generation projects in support of loan applications requesting funds to finance proposed projects.

Location: Remote (ability to travel if necessary)

Clearance:  Must be able to pass a government issued background investigation. 

 Responsibilities:

Reviews, evaluates, and submits recommendations on the technical merits, cost estimates and system effectiveness of electrical facilities proposed to be upgraded, purchased, or built by applicants seeking financing for such projects. Ensures recommendations are consistent with regulations, internal policies and procedures, and prudent utility and sound engineering practices. Reviews and evaluates construction work plans, feasibility studies, power cost studies, financial forecasts, and load forecast studies that pertain to the proposed projects.
