Summary You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY POSITION in the ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS LINE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC. Responsibilities You will provide project support for environmental concerns in the NAVFAC Pacific AOR. You will ensure environmental compliance with DoD and Navy policies and procedures. You will provide overall technical environmental support for the Navy Installation Restoration Program (IRP)/Munitions Response Program (MRP) and high visibility installation release issue, such as Red Hill remediation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-0819 Environmental Engineering Series Only: This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. For the 1301 Professional Physical Science Series: Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. OR A combination of education and experience with education equivalent to one of the majors shown above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
