Hybrid workforce:

Job Summary: 

The Interface Analyst position will be responsible for researching healthcare industry trends around data sharing and the DICOM standard, configure and build interfaces using an interface engine, including advanced configuration of interfaces between Electronic Medical Record systems and PACS systems, such as the OnePacs PACS system; test and train interface functionality with internal resources, external vendors and clinics, troubleshoot advanced factors affecting interface functionality such as networking and database technologies; and communicate project status with cross-functional team members and leadership. Additionally, this position will contribute to the development process for future interface functionality, and continuously improve on existing functionality to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.

Responsibilities:

Complete interface analysis and data mapping for interfaces between Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Practice Management (PM), Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), Laboratory Information System (LIS), health registries (HIE), etc. Participate in interface discovery conversations with clients, vendors and internal resources via conference calls and/or e-mail. Creation and modification of JavaScript objects including variables, arrays, functions, and loops. Participate in and in some cases lead the implementation of interfaces using an interface engine. Coordinate test message transfer and user acceptance testing with the vendor and client. Establish and maintain interface documentation, to include interface project tracking as well as technical documentation, project specific work flow diagrams and test procedures. Provide status updates to the project manager and software engineering manager (interfaces) on interface delivery. Follow-up on active interface projects to make sure they are progressing to the expected timeline. Train and support interface products as internal support and in a customer facing capacity as needed Research healthcare industry standards regarding interoperability and data sharing technologies. Configuration and management of interfaces between various Electronic Medical Record systems and the OnePacs System. Configuration, management, and troubleshooting of workflows involving DICOM objects. Ability to analyze and evaluate teleradiology workflows and determine how to best address the needs of teleradiology workflows through EMR interface methods. Stay up-to-date on the latest FHIR, HL7, and related standards and technologies. Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience: 


Experience:

Three years experience with interface engineering. Proven communication (verbal, written, presentation, etc.) and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential for working within the project team and while engaging and maintaining external vendor and client relationships. Proficiency in Windows based applications, and MS Office software products. Knowledge of and experience in the effective use of the JavaScript programming language, including its core concepts like variables, functions, and loops. Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, JSON, XML, CSV and other data formats. Experience working in a healthcare environment. Experience with interface engines such as Corepoint, Cloverleaf, Mirth, etc. Knowledge of programming and database logic and theories. Advanced knowledge of DICOM (query/retrieve, store, modality worklist, structured reports). Knowledge of TCP/IP, PostGreSQL. Knowledge of IHE imaging workflows.

 

Preferred: 

Experience with teleradiology PACS systems and teleradiology workflow management. Experience with the OnePacs PACS system.

Maximum budgeted salary:

$90K/yr.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Software that healthcare providers use to input patient data, such as medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and test results. Practice Management (PM): Software that the clinic front desk staff uses to register the patient once they arrive for their appointment. Teleradiology: Board certified radiologist providing accurate and timely reads of results from X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, for our urgent care clients.
