Job Title: Interface Lead
Role Overview
Our client a LNG operator, is seeking a highly skilled Interface Lead to manage the technical and physical interfaces for the Onshore and Offshore Projects. In this role, you will ensure effective coordination and integration across ongoing and upcoming interdependent Projects, QatarEnergy entities, Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), client projects, and third-party stakeholders. You will lead the implementation of Interface Agreements (IA), ensuring alignment with the program’s overall objectives and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities – not limited to below: Strategic Leadership:
Lead interface management across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client strategic goals. Policy & Process Development:
Develop and implement standardized interface management policies, procedures, and reporting tools across projects. Risk & Issue Management:
Identify potential conflicts or interface-related risks between project teams and stakeholders. Develop and implement mitigation strategies promptly. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and obtain necessary approvals from authorities. Monitor evolving regulations and adjust interface practices accordingly. Integration & SIMOPS:
Oversee the successful integration of various projects, particularly where simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) may occur. Support engineering studies in collaboration with stakeholders. Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the single point of contact for all interface issues. Foster strong communication and collaborative relationships across internal departments and external entities. Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
Track interface milestones, flag critical issues, and attend key interface meetings. Provide updates and reports to senior leadership on interface progress. Documentation & Communication:
Maintain accurate documentation of interface activities. Prepare clear and timely reports, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and compliance records. Project Execution Support:
Work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural project environment, ensuring timely resolution of interface challenges during project execution and shutdown phases.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in interface management within large-scale oil & gas projects At least 1 year in a supervisory or acting lead capacity Extensive exposure to project execution, operations, and stakeholder management in both onshore and offshore environments Proven experience with SIMOPS and the coordination of large, complex project interfaces Hands-on knowledge in developing Interface Management Plans, project interface registers, and reporting mechanisms Skills & Competencies: Deep understanding of the project lifecycle and technical interdependencies Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to manage interfaces with governmental bodies, contractors, and vendors Risk management acumen across legal, technical, and commercial dimensions High proficiency in English (written and verbal) Strong digital skills including MS Office, interface management tools, and relevant technical applications Culturally sensitive with proven success in multi-national, cross-functional teams Strong organizational, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills Additional Accountabilities Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies and procedures. Qatarization: Actively contribute to the development and training of Qatari nationals. Firewall Compliance: Adhere to all anti-trust, competition laws, and company firewall policies.
