interim Assistant Controller (contract)
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in SPRINGDALE, Arkansas, United States. This role primarily involves supporting financial operations, managing reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies within the industry. As an Assistant Controller, you'll be working in a dynamic environment where you'll interact with various stakeholders and contribute to the financial stability and growth of our operations. This is a 3+ month contract position with great potential to be contract-to-hire (perm salary upon conversion $95-110K). 100% ONSITE in Springdale, Arkandas. Interim Assistant Controller (contract): Responsibilities: • Coordinate and support monthly forecasting processes for income statement, balance sheet, product line reporting, and manpower planning • Lead and support monthly actuals and forecast variance analysis reporting • Provide monthly summaries of results to the local operations team and relevant financial teams • Contribute to the annual operating plan (AOP) and long-range plan (LRP) forecasting processes for all financial statements and supplemental reporting • Proactively develop risks and opportunities with site/senior leadership, ensuring timely communication with the financial planning and analysis team • Collaborate with business leaders to support various projects, reduce cost and enhance financial returns. This includes providing cost analysis, recommending improvements, and monitoring updates to the business • Oversee all Sarbanes-Oxley and internal control activities, including annual GAP assessments, testing, and resolution of open tickets • Manage the monthly cycle count reporting process to ensure compliance with inventory policies • Ensure strict adherence to ethics and control policies for 100% compliance • Support the site finance team with ad hoc financial requirements, including journal entries, invoicing, account reconciliations, and other initiatives from business unit leaders. Skills: • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Knowledge of Concur and Crystal Reports • Familiarity with DCAA • Ability to perform Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Knowledge in Auditing, Billing Functions, and Month-end Close Activities • Ability to Analyze Variance • Proficiency in SAP Requirements • Must hold a minimum of seven years' experience in relevant roles • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required • Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential • Familiarity with Concur software is necessary • Proficiency in Crystal Reports is an asset • Understanding of DCAA regulations and procedures is required • Demonstrated experience with various Accounting Functions • Competency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proven experience in Auditing processes • Proficiency in Billing Functions is a must • Experience with Month-end Close Activities is necessary • Ability to Analyze Variance in financial reports and data • Knowledge and experience with SAP software is an advantage Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
