Under the direction of the Superintendent/CEO, the Deputy Superintendent serves as the Chief Academic Officer providing administrative and instructional leadership and innovation for planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the SIATech’s academic curriculum and its instruction. This role oversees the operations of Instructional Services, Student Support Services, and Career Technical Education. The Deputy Superintendent works with site and district leaders to advance innovative practices across all schools; and ensure that SIATech’s Strategic Plan, Local Control Accountability Plan, Single Plan for Student Achievement, and professional development are aligned and tailored to meet the unique needs of at-promise youth, including students with special needs and English Language Learners. The Deputy Superintendent assists in the overall operation and management of SIATech and acts as Superintendent/CEO in their absence.
