This is a three-year appointment.

Teaching area will be determined by the successful candidate’s area of expertise but will focus primarily on studios and classes with manual and digital components.

The successful candidate must be able to provide on-campus, face-to-face instruction. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with two years of industry experience. Ability to teach lower-level design studios. Effective manual and visual communication skills. Competency in industry software. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Interior Design or closely related field. Ability to teach upper-division interior design undergraduate courses. Fluency in industry software, including Revit. Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud software for digital visualizations and presentation. About the Department The Department of Fashion, Interior Design, and Merchandising offers a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. The program serves approximately 130 majors and minors with well equipped classrooms, studio space, and CAD lab.
