Interior Designer – Hospitality & Corporate Interiors – Senior

Your Role

As a Senior Interior Designer at Gensler, you will lead and inspire design teams in creating exceptional hospitality and corporate interior spaces that enhance user experience and elevate brand identity. You will drive design excellence, mentor emerging talent, and foster a collaborative and high-performance studio culture.

In this leadership role, you will shape the future of design through visionary creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of hospitality and workplace environments. You will be a key contributor to the studio’s growth, leveraging your expertise to coach and develop teams while delivering innovative, business-driven design solutions.

What You Will Do

 Lead and mentor multidisciplinary design teams, fostering an environment of innovation, creativity, and professional growth.Oversee the entire design process, from concept development and space planning to detailed design, documentation, and execution for hospitality and corporate interiors.Guide teams in creating immersive, experience-driven environments for hotels, resorts, restaurants, and high-end workplace interiors.Drive branded environments and experiential design strategies for corporate and hospitality clients.Partner with clients as a trusted design leader, influencing strategic decision-making and ensuring alignment with business goals.Develop and coach team members, providing continuous feedback, professional development, and leadership training.Coordinate with consultants, product representatives, vendors, and contractors to ensure design integrity throughout project execution.Utilize advanced digital modeling and visualization tools (Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, etc.) to communicate design intent effectively.Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client presentations, strengthening Gensler’s thought leadership in the design community.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.10+ years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio of hospitality and corporate interiors projects.Proven leadership in team development, coaching, and mentorship to elevate team performance.Extensive knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color theory, and specifications, with a focus on hospitality and corporate spaces.Expertise in luxury, branded, and experiential environments.Exceptional client relationship management skills, with the ability to lead presentations and influence project direction.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office.Additional skills in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Rhino, Grasshopper, or Autodesk Certification are a plus.
