Interior Designer - Education, Workplace and Healthcare - Mid-Level

Your Role

Gensler Philadelphia is seeking an Interior Designer to focus on workplace commercial office space design interiors for a growing, diverse client base. In this position, you will join a highly creative, collaborative and nimble team dedicated to problem-solving for some of the world's most innovative companies. Our team is committed to designing environments that help growing companies focus on building their culture and attracting the best and brightest employees.
 

What You Will Do

Collaborate on corporate interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design developmentResolve complex technical and design issuesDevelop space planning concepts and generate program documentsParticipate in selection of furniture systems and specificationsWork with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectivesAssist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordinationProvide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for constructionParticipate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samplesContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsProvide mentorship and guidance to teammates 

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field from an accredited school5-9 years of related interior design experience post-graduation, with recent experience in corporate interiorsNCIDQ CertifiedExperience in working on all phases of the project from programming & test fits through design, documentation and construction.Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materialsFlexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of developmentLeadership, communication and relationship management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding graphic presentation skillsRevit skills are REQUIREDKnowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max preferred
