Interior Designer- Trend & Style
**Your Impact** The primary purpose of the Interior Designer- Trend & Style is to serve as an interior design and style expert, elevating Lowe's brand aesthetic across multiple categories. This role supports the creative direction and execution for our Lowe's Private Brand portfolio as well as supports the Director, Trend & Style and collaborates with trend and design teams to develop style curation guides for various initiatives. The Interior Designer- Trend & Style works and consults with the Product Development (PD), Core Merchandising, and Marketplace team to create and execute future strategies that deliver to their sales plan. Deep understanding of customer segments is critical to this role to ensure all needs are met by leveraging the trend and design teams to bridge the gap in our product assortments. This role has the ability to convey trend stories through an omni-channel experience to help customers pull together products and styles in their own homes. Collaborates with internal and external resources and strategic partners to help create unique and differentiating designs. Inspires customers while driving traffic, consistent revenue and brand growth through on-trend product styles, designs and displays. **Please attach portfolio of your work when submitting your application for review** **What You Will Do** + Champions creative vision for Lowe’s private branded products. + Provides internal style and interior design expertise that elevates the product assortment to offer an inspiring, elevated aesthetic across categories in partnership with the Director, Trend & Style. + Conveys omni-channel messaging and is responsible for online visual guidance. + Partners with marketing team to provide photo styling direction. + Ensures uniqueness and differentiation in product display to help create customer excitement and drive traffic. + Collaborates with trend and design team to develop style curation guides that map out creative, visual product direction. + Understands and executes brand marketing messaging and presentation. + Partners with product development team to influence online product strategy, assortment extensions and visual messaging. + Develops in-store visual merchandising initiatives, particularly lifestyle vignettes for private brands in partnership with the Director, Trend & Style. + Conducts research and analysis of aspirational product design, styles and trends. + Attends key domestic trade shows and markets with potential to attend international shows. + Collaborates with vendors and shares key findings with product development as well as the trend and design teams. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or related field + 5 years experience in interior design and/or visual merchandising. + 5 years' experience working with cross-category products, including but not limited to furniture, décor accents, soft goods, table top, colors and materials. + 5 years' experience demonstrating strong verbal and visual presentation skills; effective influence through strong communication. + 5 years' experience successfully managing multiple projects and timelines as well as working effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders + 2 years' experience using CAD, SketchUp or other 3D rendering tool for presentations. + 2 years' experience curating unique & exclusive interior design concepts, and visual displays. **Preferred Skills/Education** + Master's Degree Interior Design, or related field + 2 years experience with product design and trend in a retail or wholesale environment, partnering with merchants and marketing teams. + Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
