Interior Engineering Manager, Displays, Mechanisms and Switches

As the manager of a team, you will be responsible for technical engineering and people management for displays, mechanisms and switches for the Air and Gravity programs at Lucid. You will report to the interior engineering management team and work along side engineering, procurement, quality etc. to successfully develop, track and launch various interior parts and assemblies. You will be developing overall part and design strategies with engineers to carry out effective cost, design and build requirements.
The Interior Electronics and Mechanisms group is responsible for parts such as: Displays, Display Assemblies, Electromechanical Mechanisms, Air Vents, switches, and Overhead Console.
Role
Support engineering development of parts in mechanical, electrical and kinematic mechanismsReview and lead detailed Gantt charts of multiple design projectsSupport growth of the engineering team through implemented processes, controls and educationUtilize Jira to communicate engineering tasks and progressUtilize various communication pages and documentation to publish critical informationProvide regular progress updates to management and the executive staffSupport cost breakdown review of parts and work cross functionally to establish should costs, and targets, and help connect teams and suppliersProvide technical guidance to solve engineering challenges with electronics and mechanical systems
Qualifications
6+ years of work experience in automotive or consumer electronics2+ years of leadership experience in automotive or consumer electronicsStrong engineering fundamentals in thermal, mechanical, fixation, electronics, kinematic, testing and/or fluid principlesExperience in program management in technical fields such as automotive or consumer electronicsExceptional understanding of manufacturing and assembly technologies and process such as injection molding (variety of types) die casting and thixomolding, surface mount technologies, plastic welding, etc..Experience working with electromechanical assemblies and displaysExperience with Atlassian Jira, and ConfluenceProven CAD experience and understanding; CATIA preferred

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar.
