What you'll do:
Line/coat interior surfaces of tank cars using airless spray equipment. Mix and apply cold set and phenolic materials. Apply all layers (prime, intermediate and top) with consistently defect free results. Employees at this level require no supervision and give direction to Interior Preppers and other Interior Liners by regularly performing as team leader of a three member working unit involved In preparing and lining cars. Observes all standard safety practices. Maintain and complete all required records.What you’ll need:
Complete understanding of pre-bake and final bake of forced cure linings, equipment sizing (tip size, pump pressure, pump ratio, etc.). Ability to mix all lining materials and the effects of temperature and humidity. Ability to operate small power tools. Knowledge of proper preparation of tank cars for lining. Knowledge of and ability to perform emergency rescue operations. Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment is beneficial Previous experience in rail or steel manufacturing industry is plus! Must pass level 2 coatings certification test (normally acquired with 3 years’ experience).Please include any certifications, training or relevant experience and complete details of your work history on your application; need to list at least last 2 employers in application, if applicable.
