Intermediate Administrative Coordinator (Staff Wage)

The Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for Intermediate Administrative Coordinator. The incumbent will become part of a vibrant team of faculty, students, and staff conducting research on active playful learning in Virginia elementary schools. Specifically, the Active Playful Learning (APL) Coach Intermediate Administrative Coordinator work with the University of Virginia a subrecipient of a LEGO Foundation grant, to support the goals of the project measuring the impact of Active Playful Learning in classrooms across the U.S.

This role will include both on-site work in Loudoun Co, VA elementary schools, as well as remote work. 

As an Intermediate Administrative Coordinator, you will provide support to the Project Manager and the Research Administration team through planning and scheduling of classroom observations, creating, and sustaining data tracking systems, coordinating data collection efforts, and any other supporting the administrative tasks associated with the project.

The Intermediate Administrative Coordinator will be a member of the University of Virginia research team and work under the direct supervision of Karime Cameron.

Role and Responsibilities

Weekly meetings with research administration team and data collector team.Coordinate scheduling of research activitiesSupport data tracking systemsSupport recruitment efforts, for which some on-site/in person events are required.Assist research administration team in planning and execution of research activitiesAssist in training new coaches in APL and coaching framework.Support documentation of research activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma
Experience: At least four years experience
Licensure: None
