Intermediate Application Support Analyst
Description + Looking for someone with an experience in app support, debugging skills. + Soft skills will be given importance - customer centric and communication skills + Will Provide application support on existing applications - performing minimal code changes, pulling reports, providing support. + Non negotiables: + Spring framework, Spring boot and JavaScript frontend libraries like React, Angular, Vue and jQuery. + Programming languages such as Java, Visual Studio, JavaScript + Oracle/ Postgress -either/ or + Knowledge and exp with Azure is critical Information Technology - Client Solutions requires contractor for the Intermediate Application Support Analyst with experience supporting a suite of applications. This resource will be part of the IT team in Application Support and will be working with clients, application support staff, the infrastructure team, and project delivery teams with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and availability of our applications. • Hybrid work schedule is required: 2 days in the office monthly. Responsibilities will include helping resolve application support incidents and user issues; provide user training; develop code/configuration fixes; perform applications’ maintenance and enhancements tasks as needed; provide operational support; provide knowledge transfer to team members. The successful applicant will be involved in task estimation, planning, and coordination of support activities; review system requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful resolution of issues; create detailed, and well-structured support documents to be used for knowledge transfer; identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs; and ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved. This contract role requires individuals with great communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a diversified team. Successful candidates must possess strong technical and professional knowledge and skills, stress tolerance and the ability to think innovatively. You must also be team-oriented with the ability to build strategic working relationships and demonstrate innovation/initiative with a focus on providing inputs and recommendations for developing business and system requirements, and effort estimates. Position occupant will: • Coordinate with team members, the team head/Supervisor, and other departments to organize resolution of application incidents. • Balance scheduled and unscheduled requests based on priority, impact, and value to the business. • Provide clear support documentation for all applications. • Plan, test, and implement system upgrades and troubleshoot integration points with other systems. • Plan and schedule regular maintenance tasks, perform overall health checks of the systems and perform root cause analysis. • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to applications issues and communicate same to users within the defined service level agreements. Top Skills Details 1. Three (3) years' experience as an Application Support Analyst designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting software solutions. 2. Three (3) years’ experience with Java web frameworks preferably Spring framework, Spring boot and JavaScript frontend libraries like React, Angular, Vue and jQuery. 3. Three (3) years’ experience with industry stand and programming languages such as Java, Visual Studio, JavaScript. 4. Three (3) years’ experience migrating data and deploying modules or components between Development, Test and Production environments. 5. Three (3) years’ experience in database technologies, reports generation, and scripting in Oracle or PostgresSQL and performing analytics with Microsoft Power BI. 6. Three (3) years’ experience supporting applications in the cloud (Azure, Digital Ocean) and on premise with debugging and problem-solving skills. 7. Three (3) years' experience demonstrating translation of business requirements into technical specifications to develop, maintain or enhance software. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1. Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate both internally and externally with personnel at all levels. 3. Ability to disseminate information to various audiences, technical or non-technical. 4. Ability to support multiple applications. 5. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently and to collaborate with multiple teams and clients. 6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 7.
