Fortinet is growing and we are looking to hire a Cloud Software Developer for Video Surveillance solutions to join our team in Ottawa.

At Fortinet, you will be involved in the full development lifecycle of cloud software and product development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for development and learning new technologies.  

As a Software Developer, you will have: 

Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent  2+ years of industrial software development experience in Unix/Linux environment  2+ years of industrial Python programming experience, with Django/Flask/Celery/FastAPI  2+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript programming  2+ years of experience with other major programming languages such as C/C++, Java  Experience with database management system, such as MySql, Redis, MongoDB  Experience with web application technologies such as CSS3, HTML5, jQuery  Experience with major JavaScript framework such as Angular, React  Strong knowledge of graphical user interface design principles  Good understanding of TCP/IP networking  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills  Self-learner and positive altitude 

Good to Have:

Experience with mobile app development on Android / iOS is a plus  Experience with virtualization platforms, such as AWS, KVM, VMWare, is a plus  Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Elastic Search, Open Search is a plus  Experience with cloud-based computing / software development / storage is a plus
